Or those who fancy a picturesque train journey through the Italian mainland before their holiday in La Paradisola. Getting to Sardinia by car and ferry can be done overnight or during the day – in five to 12 hours depending on the route.

Ferries leave Genoa, Civitavecchia, Piombino and Livorno for the following destinations in the north os Sardinia:

Those who wish to travel to the south of the island, such as Villasimius or Costa Rei, should go to Cagliari.
