Porto della Taverna - Caribbean-like beaches and lagoons

Porto della Taverna is an idyllic bay on the east coast of Sardinia, below Porto San Paolo – with turquoise water, white sand and views of the imposing island Tavolara. Towards the south, Lu Impostu, Spiaggia Brandinchi and La Cinta offer even more beaches to fall head over heels in love with. It’s almost as if the water here is even clearer and bluer than in the rest of Sardinia. Another highlight offered by the surrounding landscape is the many lagoons that lie behind the beaches, some of which are home to rare birds.

The dream beaches near Porto della Taverna in detail:

Porto della Taverna

Pure Caribbean: Porto della Taverna offers an enchanting mix of light blue, crystal-clear water, a gently sloping beach and a soft transition into a lagoon with flamingos and other bird species. There’s no better place to spend a relaxed day at the beach – lounger hire and a lovely cafe included! There is a car park near the beach.

Cala Brandinchi

A classic amongst the prettiest beaches in Sardinia: Cala Brandinchi is another Caribbean dream, with transparent, flat water and bright white sand. This beach also drifts into a lagoon, and a beautiful pine forest and idyllic dunes provide a stunning frame.. A beach bar and lounger and pedal boat hire can be found on-site, along with a large car park.

Lu Impostu

This beautiful beach neighbours Cala Brandinchi. Turquoise water, wild and beautiful vegetation with maquis, mimosas and lilies and gently sloping, soft sand make Lu Impostu in no way inferior to its neighbouring bays. In the adjacent lagoon of Catranzolu, lucky visitors might catch a glimpse of flamingos strutting past. This beach also offers bars, various hire points and a car park.

La Cinta

A lively paradise: La Cinta is a successful mix of dream beach and action. It’s a popular spot for dancing and partying – and it’s no wonder, when you consider the crystal-clear water and panorama views of the Tavolara island, framed by dunes and the San Teodoro lagoon. The beach is also a real highlight for sports lovers: depending on the wind conditions, La Cinta is popular with windsurfers, kitesurfers and surfers.
