Torre Salinas - wild, endless beach with tower
Torre Salinas is a beach on the south-east coast of Sardinia – perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy a slower pace of life. The long, fine sandy beach stretches for kilometres; birds breed in the former salt pans behind. The perfect beach for families and those in search of peace and quiet. Extensive, untouched sections alternate with areas dedicated to sun lounger hire – yet there’s still ample space for everyone on this beach, which is over 100 metres wide in places. Off the coast, dunes are covered in sea lilies; the colour of the sand flickers between light and ochre, interspersed here and there with tiny black grains. To the south, the beach ends with a beautiful rocky cape, which is home to the old Torre Salinas tower dating back to the 17th century. Here is the perfect place for snorkelling and discovering lots of fish. The beach has bars and a car park.
Another dream beach at Torre Salinas
Directly on the other side of the Torre Salinas cape awaits the next beach, Spaigga Cristolaxedu. With emerald green water, greyish sand, a gentle slope into the sea and a relaxed beach ambience, this beach is never too crowded. Spiaggia Cristolaxedu merges seamlessly with the well-known Spiaggia Colostrai.
