Travel insurance for Sardinia: Protection for complete peace of mind
Make your journey to Sardinia even safer – taking out travel insurance means you are completely covered if something unexpected happens before you set off. And even during your holiday in Sardinia, travel insurance means you can enjoy your stay with complete peace of mind. After all, the unexpected can always happen.
Travel insurance offers you these benefits:
In the event of a cancellation (journey cancellation before departure), you can claim a refund for any cancellation fees charged by the tour operator. These can amount up to 100% of the trip price, depending on when you cancel and the specific terms and conditions.

Should you be forced to cancel your trip (after departure) for insured reasons, trip cancellation insurance will protect you from additional costs.

We work with two renowned companies to offer travel insurance you can trust:

ERV offers travel insurance policies to ensure that you can enjoy complete peace of mind – before, during and after your trip. We would be happy to arrange ERV insurance for you directly – just get in touch with us. Alternatively, you can also contract it yourself online.

ALLIANZ Global Assistance offers travel insurance that can be contracted online. If you would like personal assistance, please contact the Allianz Einhellig & Hoffmann agency on +49 (0)89 147 277 880 or via e-mail to

Ferry to Sardinia: for everyone who wants to take the car or train
For top flexibility: the ferry is great for everyone who wants to take their own car to Sardinia. Or those who fancy a picturesque train journey through the Italian mainland before their holiday in La Paradisola. Getting to Sardinia by car and ferry can be done overnight or during the day – in five to 12 hours depending on the route.

Ferries leave Genoa, Civitavecchia, Piombino and Livorno for the following destinations in the north os Sardinia:
- Olbia,
- Porto Torres and
- Golfo Aranci.

Those who wish to travel to the south of the island, such as Villasimius or Costa Rei, should go to Cagliari.

For all holiday destinations in the east, e.g. Tortolì, it’s best to travel to Arbatax.

Our tip:
Please contact us – the Sardegna team would be happy to book your ferry connection for you in order to guarantee your place on your desired ferry.
