Villa Paradiso – a Mediterranean dream
Villa Paradiso is
situated in one of the most beautiful parts of southern Sardinia, in the Is
Molas Medau valley, on a hill overgrown with evergreen macchia bushes with a
view over the historically significant Pula plain, where even today the cultural
highlights of the summer are theatrical and musical performances on the open-air
stage of the Roman excavations at Nora. The view from the terrace at the
property is over the Pula plain to the east and over the surrounding hills to
the west, which form part of the largest contiguous area of woodland in
Sardinia. There is a large private swimming pool in front of the house.
Villa Paradiso is an exclusive villa, boasting three bedrooms and two
bathrooms as well as a fully equipped modern kitchen, which is so practically
and imaginatively designed that cooking is pure pleasure. The terrace with its
barbecue area perfectly conveys that Mediterranean sense of well-being.
Flowering oleander bushes and a set of rocks form the border to the property.
The living-room, which is glazed from floor to ceiling, is tastefully and
comfortably furnished with seating around the indoor fireplace and has been laid
out with great attention to detail by the lady owner, a well-known Sardinian
interior designer.
A day at Villa Paradiso
For golfers, the day could begin
on Is Molas golf course, while for those who want to relax around the pool, the
magnificent rural setting offers absolute peace and quiet. The afternoon could
be reserved for a relaxing drive to one of Sardinia's most beautiful beaches,
the juniper-covered sand dunes at Chia. The evening would be the perfect time to
enjoy your marvellous view from the terrace and perhaps a good glass of wine.
People, markets, sport and beaches
You can get to Pula in
a few minutes by car, a lively town with a great many shops, typical
restaurants, pizzerias and local handicraft workshops. Cagliari, Sardinia's
ancient capital, with its marina, its idyllic harbour district and its majestic
Castello, is only half an hour away by car. There are a great range of sports
available locally: various water-sports are available at the beaches; the marina
where you can hire boats (Cala Verde) is only 10 km away; Is Molas golf course
is 5 minutes away by car and several riding stables are right nearby. The famous
dunes at Chia, with their turquoise-blue crystal-clear waters and white sandy
beaches can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
