Landscape and Design The Fiori Villas are owned by an established Sardinian family, whose property stretches from the surrounding hills to the sea, where they run the Hotel Costa dei Fiori. Their goal has been to create exemplary designs; building materials that would blend in so well with their landscape that only the hand-baked tiles of the villa roofs would be recognizable from a distance. Many old materials were used in their design: old juniper wood removed from demolished homes, Sardinian glazed tiles, and white tiles recovered from the venerable city of Cagliari. The edges of the pool and terrace are playfully decorated with old roof tiles. Villa Fiori 1 even has its own pool, which is shared with Villa Fiori 2.
Villa Fiori 1 This villa has a living area of approximately 3,300 square feet. On the ground floor one finds a living room with Sardinian fireplace, seating and dining areas, and a covered terrace with a small dining area. The kitchen is large enough to cook for additional family and is equipped with everything one could need, including a dishwasher, washing machine, electric baking oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, plenty of working area, and all the kitchen appliance that you?re already used to back home.
Also included with the villa is a covered patio with a view of the sea. The fireplace and roof are constructed from juniper beams. The terrace offers seating for up to twenty guests. A second terrace is elevated and tastefully decorated with Sardinian stools and earthen oil containers.
