Villa Clelia - a wonderful holiday villa in an
undisturbed natural setting right next to the sea
The path leads
across a couple of terraces, past the scented macchia shrubs and wild juniper
trees to the sandy beach on the bay, 20 m away. There is no other house in
sight wherever you look, only the turquoise green sea and the soft, warm sand
and, in the distance, the blue shimmering silhouette of the undeveloped hills in
the south of the island.
A house of dreams
Villa Clelia is situated in a charming
landscape of sandy bays, inlets and strange rock formations and has, thanks to
its gently sloping site, a wonderful view of Campulongu bay and the impressive
south coast. Set in an undisturbed natural setting and surrounded by a large
Mediterranean garden with shade-giving olive and olivastro trees and the typical
macchia, Villa Clelia is an ideal refuge for people looking for peace and lovers
of nature. From the covered terrace with its impressive view of the sea you will
never tire of the beguiling game of colours with light and shade, turquoise blue
sea, dark green macchia and bright red bougainvillea, to say nothing of the mild
summer nights under a clear, starry sky.
The Villa is owned by an old established Sardinian family and belongs to
a group of villas that are only accessible to their residents and guarded
during the summer. This detached house blends in well with the surrounding rocks and
is divided into an upper and a lower part, which are connected
by an outside staircase. The bedrooms and one bathroom are in the upper part.
A nice living room and kitchen area are in the lower part, which is attached to
the covered terrace with its fantastic seaview. Typical Sardinian style, with
characteristic wood-beamed ceilings, dark tiled floors and hand-knitted
curtains, shapes the generally attractive decoration indoors.
Villa Clelia
boasts 4 bedrooms (two double bedrooms and two bedrooms with twin
beds), two bathrooms with shower, and a living-room with an attached
kitchen area. The Villa is not suitable for families with small children, as the
roof terrace is unfenced.
In the local area
A supermarket and two restaurants are within walking distance. More shops, a
typical Sardinian weekly market and a large choice of first-class restaurants are only five minutes
away by car, in the picturesque and bustling village of Villasimius and its surroundings.
A marina is also within walking distance, where you can arrange unforgettable excursions to
the offshore islands of Serpentara and Molinara.
