Enchanting terrace apartment
with views over the sea and the macchia bushes
The Kirova
terrace apartment is situated far from the tourist crowds, only 100m from the
sea on one of the small sandy coves near Porto Rotondo, in one of the most
beautiful areas of northern Sardinia. Within easy walking distance behind the
house, there are cosy roadside cafés and nice restaurants with terraces where it
is pleasant to sit in the sun, even out of season. A footpath leads down to the
beach in a few minutes, past flowering gardens and shady trees. The famous
marina at Porto Rotondo is some distance away, with its guaranteed
crystal-clear, clean water.
Two generations ago, Porto Rotondo was an architects' fantasy, but since
then, it has become a much-loved meeting place for the international jet-set.
Rudalza, the artists' and film stars' neighbourhood where the Kirova apartment
is located, and Punta di Volpe or Punta Lada, with their politicians' and
executive villas well hidden behind high, bright-red bougainvillea hedges, are
dream destinations for the rich and famous.
Sun, moon and stars
The view from the wonderful terrace
apartment looks over the water, from which a few stone terraces lead directly up
to the house. Even in blistering sunshine, it is comfortably cool on the
terrace, thanks to the highly agreeable fresh breeze from the sea nearby. The
apartment has had even the smallest detail carefully considered and has been
tastefully furnished with a lot of love. The apartment, which is nearly 80 m²,
comprises 2 double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a comfortable living-room with
dining area as well as a large covered terrace with comfortable seating. The
kitchen is well equipped with a washing-machine and dishwasher.
Boat trips, diving or a round of Golf
There are
countless activities on offer near Porto Rotondo, from sailing and motorboat
trips to scuba-diving. Something to interest golfers: the well-known golf course
at Piccolo Pevero is half an hour away by car. Nearby, in the centre of Porto
Rotondo, there are shops, restaurants and pizzerias. The famous sandy beaches of
the Costa Smeralda - Cala di Volpe, Romazzino, Liscia di Vacca - as
well as the one at Golfo di Marinella to the south of Porto Rotondo, can be
reached in 20 Minutes. It is just under half an hour's drive to Olbia, with its
idyllic pedestrianised zone and harbour area.
