Torresalinas, which is seven kilometres from the traditional fishing village of
Muravera, consists of a group of sea-front villas located in a non-touristy stretch of Sardinia's southern coast. The sand of the long beach here is ochre in colour with sprinklings of black crystals. The beach extends to Colostrai and beyond that to Ferraxi, ending at the cliffs of Capo Ferrato.
Torresalinas is not only a great place to swim but is also a wonderful venue for long strolls on the beach, behind which there is a former
nature reserve where flamingos and rare species of bird can sometimes be seen.
The village also has a small grocery store with a pizzeria in it. Only two kilometres away in San Priamo is an excellent restaurant and in Villaputzu there is a well known seafood restaurant. At
Costa Rei, which is a fifteen minute drive, visitors looking for fine food will find a number of quality restaurants.
