The Chia Laguna Resort is located in a natural setting on the South Coast of Sardinia, just a few minutes away from one of the largest and most beautiful unspoilt white sand dune beaches in the Mediterranean.
Nestled on a hillside, the unique location of the Chia Laguna Resort provides spectacular 180° views which sweep across a lagoon filled with pink flamingos to the blue horizon of the sea. At night this enchanting scene is illuminated by the ancient Tower of Chia, a cultural monument around 1600. Surrounding the resort are the mountains of the Sulcis, an area brimming with Roman, Spanish and Sardinian archaeology, colourful traditions, great wines and delicious local cuisine. This is the place to come to get away from the crowds and still have a wide choice of places to go and things to do.
Exceptionally child-friendly, Chia Laguna Resort attracts families seeking active holidays centred on the beach, pools, and sports. The resort is part of a larger development that resembles a secluded village, complete with central piazza, terraced into rocky hillsides. Le Chia Laguna Resort offers two types of accommodation: the elegant Hotel Laguna and the Chia Village, sprinkled along pathways which wind their way through lush gardens. Scented gardens with many varieties of trees, flowers, and blossoming shrubs border the buildings and stone paths. All parts are connected to the beach by a mini land train which operates every 15 minutes throughout the day.
Hotel Laguna
Located in a three-storey hotel and recently refurbished in light and airy pastel tones, the stylish Hotel Laguna has spacious rooms and terraces with wonderful views of the bay. The 72 new and elegantly appointed rooms are decorated in a typical contemporary Italian style with carefully selected ceramics, artworks and fabrics. Designed for maximum comfort and privacy, the new guest rooms and suites are luxurious, inspiring and extremely spacious. For the ultimate in luxury, Hotel Laguna's new rooms feature a private balcony or terrace with stunning views of the sea and the lagoon. Sophistication and Italian décor are the hallmarks of the beautifully renovated Laguna hotel. All room types include desk with dial-up Internet access, flat-screen satellite TV, safe, minibar, Bathroom with mosaic-tile shower (or on request with bath tub) with handheld and rain showerheads. Restaurants
The Chia Laguna Resort offers several restaurant outlets plus a children’s restaurant. Hotel Laguna guests enjoy the private terrace restaurant "La terrazza" with a menu "a la carte" and new terrace for the dinner, furthermore there is a choice of speciality restaurants and bars, most of them free of charge for hotel Laguna guest (please inform yourself on arrival) and at an extra charge for other guests. For lunch we recommend the beach restaurant Le Dune or the poolside bar; in the evening try the Pizzeria in the Piazza.
Sport facilities and Enterntainment
The Chia Laguna Resort offers various sports, water sports and other activities (for an extra fee), such as sailing, diving, water-ski, paddleboats, windsurf, 4 tennis courts, horse riding, bycicle hire, sport lessons, driving range and putting green, Pitch&Putt Golf Course, massage and a wellness centre with turkish bath. Furthermore, there is a superb new facility: the "Luna" (which means moon in Italian). An elegant bar, restaurant, pizzeria and bar, a complex with a subterranean walled garden and patios open to the stars at night. An ideal place for cappuccinos during the day or for an evening nightcap.
Beach
Chia Bay, a pure white sandy beach, is 700 metres from the hotel. Hotel Laguna is connected to the beach by a complimentary shuttle service, a mini land train which operates every 15 minutes throughout the day. Sun beds, sun umbrellas (from the third row on free and available without reservation) and towels are at guest's disposal. Possible activities are for example tennis, diving, surfing or excursions-all payable directly on the spot.
