The *****Hotel Abi D'Oru is a place of simple elegance and tranquillity. It sits perfectly within its attractive gardens and extensive lawns which lead down to the fine white sandy beach of the Gulf of Marinella. The architectural style is typical of the area with its many terraces, meandering roofs and porticos, all positioned with discreet charm into the surrounding dense mediterranean vegetation. The Hotel Abi D’Oru is only 12km from Olbia’s harbour and airport and only 4km from the famous resort village of Porto Rotondo.
Rooms
The 170 rooms are mostly side sea-view, with typical Sardinian furnishings and welcoming warm colours. All have airconditioning, Satellite TV, telephone, hair dryers, mini-bar, safe, and either a balcony or patio space. Some of the garden side rooms are equipped for disabled guests. The Hotel also offers Suites with separate living area (for a max. of 4 persons).
Restaurants
There are two central restaurants and a third one on the beach. The restaurant "I Fenicotteri" has got a charming terrace overlooking the sea and offers refined buffets and dinners with a menù a la carte. The restaurant "Il Laghetto" is close to the swimming pool, offers fresh buffet and a grill with a wide choice of Sardinian Mediterranean summer dishes. At the beach, the restaurant "Marinella" offers buffet and grilled dishes in a friendly atmosphere for brunch (only on reservation, included in the rates). The snack-bar "Il Marinaio" offers snacks or pizza next to the beach. There is also one lobby bar and a terrace with panoramic view - a perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or some after dinner relaxation with piano bar music (from the middle/end of April until the beginning of October). The swimming pool bar is open from the end of April until the beginning of October. All restaurant opening-hours depend on the decision of the hotel manager.
Hotel Facilities and Services
The Hotel offers the following services (for extra charge): bazar and newspaper shop, private parking area, WiFi in all the hotel including swimming pool area, Internet point in the main lobby. Medical services are available (fees are charged for consultations and visits). Lifts are easily accessible and wheelchair ramps available. A Miniclub for 4-12 years old children with a game area is open for daily activities (6 days/week, from the beginning of June until mid-September). Furthermore the hotel offers a beach volleyball area, two tennis courts (courts lighting at night on payment) and one swimming pool with sunshades and lounge chairs. A charge is made for canoe, bicycles, tennis, sailing equipment and car, bicycle and scooter hire, together with tennis lessons and nearby diving, sailing and windsurfing.
