The ****Hotel Pellicano d'Oro is situated right by the sea, on the panoramic road from Olbia to the Golfo Aranci, and looks out over one of the most enchanting beaches of the North East coast of Sardinia. Just 12 km from Costa Smeralda Airport, it is easy to reach from all main Italian and capital European cities. Pittulongu is also the ideal starting point to discover the beauties of the world known Costa Smeralda.
The hotel and its facilities
The Hotel offers a cosy atmosphere and attentive service which create the perfect ingredients for a relaxing stay. The original building "Casa Beach" located just in front of the beach, boasts a nice hall with bar and a restaurant with local and international cuisine. The large terrace on the beach, with its marvellous view out to the sea, it's a pleasant setting for appetising drinks or tasting famous Sardinians wines. Furthermore, there are two outdoor Jacuzzi pools and Wi-Fi in the common area. The new building "Casa Garden", featuring contemporary design and architecture, is situated just a few meters behind the original building, across the small street and has a nice circular swimming pool (not suitable for children) with a pleasant sun terrace, a wide lobby with reception and bar, lift, a conference room (up to 100 seats) and a free indoor garage. On the last floor of Casa Garden, there is a sun terrace with a beautiful view and a small fitness corner with technogym machines. The reception is open 24 hours a day in the new building; shuttle for Olbia, Porto Rotondo and Golfo Aranci and mountain bike, scooters ad car hire is possible at extra charge.
Accomodation
The 67 rooms of hotel Pellicano d'Oro, some of them with sea view, are situated either in the original building "Casa Beach" - on the ground or first floor with entrance on common terraces - or in the new building "Casa Garden", on the first or second floor with a small private balcony. All the rooms are well equipped with many amenities including satellite TV, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, minibar, safe, bathroom with shower, hairdryer and - only in Casa Garden - internet connection (at extra charge).
Restaurant
The excellent restaurant offers both local and international specialities. Half board basis includes buffet style breakfast and waiter service dinner. Lunch is on request and at an extra charge: guests may choose between a light lunch at the restaurant or a snack at the bar. Guests booked on half board enjoy a Gourmet Menu which consists of four courses each with two, three or even four different "taster" dishes.
Beach
The hotel has direct access to a long stretch of sandy beach. A small part of it belongs to the property and it is equipped with free sun-beds and umbrellas. Beach towels are also complimentary.
Sporting Activities
Sporting activities available nearby include wind-surfing and canoeing (2km), tennis 800m), diving and horse riding (12km), golf at Pevero Golf Club (30km).
Excursions
At the hotel reception it is possible to book excursions to the world famous Costa Smeralda, to the Maddalena Archipelago, to Cala Gonone and to Cala Luna.
