Its premier position atop - a small hill in the Sardinian woodland overlooking the magical gulf of Cugnana makes Rocce Sarde Hotel an unique and outstanding location for a holiday. From a distance the hotel has the appearance of a remote monastery, surrounded by stunning pink coloured rocks and only few minutes away from the renowned and exclusive Costa Smeralda, the glamorous destination favoured by the jet-set.
Accomodation
The 70 rooms, periodically restructured are furnished in authentic Sardinian style, spacious and bright, with mountain views, veranda facing the lawn or terrace overlooking the sea. The rooms are equipped with fridge, telephone, hair-dryer, satellite T.V., air conditioning, safe and private bathroom. The 10 Suites offer the independence as a small villa and the comfort of a wide living; they have a private entrance, a spacious living area with sofa bed and a double bedroom, a shower room and a relaxing terrace or veranda with sea view.
Restaurant
A rich and inviting breakfast is served in both La Loggia and on the Panoramic Terrace Restaurant. It offers a wide selection of home made pastries and croissants prepared daily in the hotel kitchen by the Chef. At lunch time you may find a choice of snacks served by the wonderful swimming pool carved out of the local rocks or a light meal on the Panoramic Terrace Restaurant overlooking the bay and its Island.
Before dinner (selection of courses, table service) you may enjoy an aperitif on the lawn "Porta al Prato", overlooking the sea to watch the magnificent sun set over the islands of Soffi and Mortorio. Once a week, the hotel guests may enjoy an unforgettable genuine Sardinian dinner in a romatic barn covered with scented juniper, enterteined and delighted by a folk group performing typical songs and music.
Hotel services
In keeping with the best hotel traditions, the Rocce Sarde offers a simple but refined service with particular attention to detail. Relax in the pool is delighting yourself with a selection of drinks or cocktails, while the youngest members are entertained, from July till August, by the team of friendly staff with games and sporting activities. There are two tennis courts (on request and at extra charge with a professional instructer), ping pong, water gym, relaxing activity benefiting both mind and body, including breathing, muscle toning and stretching exercises from July to August and a complimentary shuttle service to the beach of Rena Bianca. Furthermore you can ask for specialised massages, excursions to some of the islands beauty sites with bilingual guides, various itineraries to local archaeological sites and full day trips to the Archipelago of La Maddalena and beaches of the Emerald Coast. Other activities like sailing, windsurf, water skiing, scuba diving and fishing and also horse riding (approx. 3 km) are possible in the area.
