The four-star Hotel Relais Monteturri is a nice blend of an ancient castle’s allure and the typical style of old Sardinian villages.
Location
Perched at the top of Bellavista Park and surrounded by luxuriant gardens, the Hotel Relais Monteturri is situated in one of the most picturesque corners of the East coast of Sardinia, a few minutes from Arbatax Harbour (2 km) and very close to Tortoli Airport (5 km).
The hotel and its facilities
The main body of the complex (La Torre) houses, on different floors served by a lift: reception, bar, a delightful swimming pool bordered by a terrace-solarium with umbrellas and sun-beds, sauna, an elegant terrace restaurant offering a truly breathtaking view from the purple red rocks of Cala Moresca to the sheer cliffs of Capo Monte Santo and a hall for multiple use. A short walk through the stairs down to the sea, approximately 40 m from the main building, leads to the charming stone houses surrounded by green vegetation.
Accomodation
All the 42 rooms, furnished in typical Sardinian style, have satellite TV, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, mini-bar, safe, private facilities with bath (La Torre) or shower (Il Giardino) and hair-dryer. There are two types of accomodation, according to their location: "La Torre" are 17 Superior double rooms with extra bed/s (2) if required or a sleeping loft with a single or a double bed; cosy and comfortable, they all have their own individual furnishing and are located in the main building, sea view on request and at a supplement. "Il Giardino" is the name for 25 Classic double/twin rooms with one extra bed if required, located on the ground or upper floor, in the stone houses surrounded by the hotel’s garden.
Beach
A small charming cove (deep water), between reef and rocks, is the natural setting for the rocky beach with a wooden terrace for the clients’ exclusive use and reachable by a panoramic lift, located 150/200 m from the hotel. Umbrellas, sun-beds and beach towels are provided free of charge.
Restaurant
The hotel restaurant offers an excellent choice of local and international specialities. Half board basis includes buffet style breakfast and waiter service dinner. For lunch guests can have a snack at the bar (at an extra charge).
Excursions
At hte hotel reception it is possible to book excursions to the Gennargentu National Park or, by boat, to the famous inlets of Capo Monte Santo, Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna.
