Having been to the Hotel Stella Maris in Villasimius (booked through Discover-Sardinia.com, I would advise others to steer clear. This hotel is significantly over-priced and the quality of the accommodation is poor. You should be aware that star ratings in Sardinia are largely based on location and unfortunately, because of the stunning location of the hotel, Stella Maris has achieved a star rating far higher than it would in the UK or even on mainland Italy. I would also forewarn that you should read the terms and conditions on this website before booking. Once you sign the contract discover-sardinia.com refuses to accept liability for poor quality accommodation. The company no longer acknowledges that you are their customer and instead transfers responsibility onto the accommodaton provider. If you then have a complaint (assuming that the hotel takes the same attitude of the staff in the Stella Maris) you will not get very far. |
