CHEAP travel and lodging
Found a nice little restaurant you can recommend to your fellow travelers? Is there a spot on the island one simply MUST see? Where would you go hiking? Windsurfing? Horse-back riding? Biking? Want to know more about the island itself? ...

I am a college student from the US travelling (starting in Alghero) at the end of March throug April in Sardinia. What should we do and how should we travel. We dont have much money! Can we very easilly just hike and camp? Also, how expensive is Sardinia in general? Also, how friendly is Sardinia? Please, if you respond, be VERy extensive--I want to know anything and everything there is to know. thanks! |

hey there, depending on where you go
sardinia is very reasonable in price,
if your looking for cheap places keep
away from costa smerelda as this is a
place for the mega rich you will pay
about 10 euro's for a beer there, in
the north alghero is quite reasonable,
but getting more expensive as the
tourisim industry increases, a good
place to check out if you want a base
to travel and explore from is
casaperta, its basically an open house
for people to stay, costs 20 euro a
night including breakfast, wifi access
and the people running it are very
knowledgable about the area, casaperta
is near oristano, almost in the center
of the island about 30 mins drive from
the beaches, there is a lot of culture
in the area, have a look at
www.casaperta.com for more information.
